Director/writer - Olivier Dahan

Is life a 'bed of roses'?

From childhood to glory, from triumph to despair, from Belleville to New York, this is the story of the extraordinary life of Edith Piaf.

A true story of her incredible destiny opens a window onto the artist's soul and into a woman's heart.

Intimate, intense, fragile and indestructible, ready to make any sacrifice for her art. Mesdames et messieurs, please welcome the most immortal singer of them all...

Édith Piaf (December 19, 1915-October 11, 1963)[1] was one of France's most loved singers, who became a national icon. Her music reflected her tragic life, with her speciality being the poignant ballad presented with a heartbreaking voice. Among her most famous songs are "La vie en rose" (1946), "Hymne à l'amour" (1949), "Milord" (1959), "Non, je ne regrette rien" (1960).
