Proudly Presented by Woodside Valley Foundation

See this amazing exhibition depicting the history that has so impacted the history of Geographe with displays of artifacts, historical documents and charts of the 1801 exploration of Western Australia, under Captain Nicholas Baudin.

The Woodside Valley Foundation was launched on the 23 June 2003 at the Art Gallery of Western Australia. The Woodside Valley Foundation believes that there is a low level of community understanding of the discovery of Western Australia and of the role of distinguished explorers, mariners and scientists in our pre-colonial history. The Foundation has a particular interest in the early French and Dutch exploration that largely preceded British interest in Australia's West Coast.
